Hi Anita,

My human Mom told me to write you this update on my growth...I was #3 puppy from the May 3, 2009 littler...my name is now "Tucker" in keeping with the tradition that all of Mom's puppies have been named after something in the Australian Language.  At least I didn't get stuck with my sister's name!  Her name is Jillaroo.

I just reached my 32 week birthday!  I am 14.5 inches tall and weigh 17 pounds.  Mom thinks I may grow another inch because my rear end is higher than my shoulders.  I can sit, lie down, jump up, and I finally learned how to go thru the 2 flap extreme weather dog door in the basement.  All the neighbors love me and give me cookies since I am so cute. Of course, if I don't gobble the cookies fast enough my sister will get a couple too.

I love to go on walks but am a little shy.  If another dog just looks at me I whimper.  But, I am much braver when I am in the backyard...especially when those big brown animals with antlers come jogging down the alley.  And can you believe I LIKE THE SNOW?

Mom treats both of us really good:  we have lots and lots of toys (I have learned not to chew on Mom's toys), puppy cookies, leashes and collars, and I like to bring little presents to Mom like a stick or a rock for her to chew on.  My sister and I get along great.  We play all day and chase the squirrels and each other.  We have a lot of fun!

Happy Holidays from the 3 of us..

Anita,

Not sure if you remember me, I purchased a puppy from you in June 09. I got her for my dad and at first he said he didn’t want her, well after thinking about it for a couple weeks, he decided he would try it out with the understanding that if it didn’t work out, I would take her back. Secretly, I didn’t want him to take her but I am so glad he did. They are best buddies; she (Sophie) lives in North Dakota. She has a great life and the two of them are inseparable. He is 70 years old she makes him laugh all the time. She has to sleep on something that smells like dad so she is always dragging his clothes all over the house. He says she is a crazy little girl, she digs in the dirt and then she growls and barks and yaps and runs like a flash of lightening as if something is chasing her. They go to the lake almost every day and she runs and runs and runs. She has a friend named Lady (12 year old Lab/Husky mix) and they get to see each other every day. Dad said she is afraid of cats and birds. I haven’t seen her since July they will be here later this month; I will send you some pictures. She is about 12” tall and weighs about 8 lbs.

I have to laugh because when I was a kid if I had dug in his garden I would have been in trouble but Sophie can do it all she wants. I am so glad he has her to keep him company. Thank you so much, Sophie is a wonderful companion.

Sincerely,
Peggy

Anita-
Thought I would check in with you and let you know that Chance is now 10lbs. He is a super smart puppy. We have taught him to play dead, roll over, sit, lay down, shake, speak, and circle. He is potty trained and gets to sleep with us at night and he wakes me up when he has to go potty. We get him fixed in November and his rash has got better. I attached a picture of him.
Thanks again,
Amber

Heathershaw’s
Our puppy is almost 1 year old.  She was puppy #2 in your Oct 15, 2008 litter.  We named her Misty Mae.  Misty has given our family a lot of joy and entertainment.  She enjoys going horseback, riding, running with our Border Collie, wrestling with the cat, chasing rabbits and spending time with us.
Misty is still a bit timid which we are constantly working on.  She has completed basic obedience class.  In Oct, our son, (11) and Misty will be starting 4-H Obedience and agility.

We are so glad Misty has joined our family!
Thank-you,
Kim

Dear Anita & Mike,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!  Our house has defiantly has not been the same with our new addition.  Her name is Dakota and we all just adore her.  She has adjusted very well and hasn't had any accidents.  She travels in the car great, had no problems or whining with her first bath.  It just amazes me how something so small could rule our house and our lives so much.

I will be sending pictures soon for you and your family.  How is puppy 6 doing?  How big has she gotten in the last two weeks?  I think we still have an interest in her and I know Dewey wishes he had brought her back as well.  He was just concerned he might have problems with his flights and trying to travel for the first time ever with two dogs.

Thanks again for meeting Dewey at the airport and for extending your self as much as you did for us!!  It really means a lot to me.

Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year and many Blessings,
Lisa Marie

I wanted to let you know that we enjoy “Ella” very much. She has a very nice temperament and is very loveable. She is very much a people person. I take her in the vehicle and horseback with me all the time. She is a fun dog and I enjoy her personality.

Thanks Again,

Hello Anita

Our Black Tri Female pup is known to us as Bindy Sue.  She is an amazing little girl.  She potty trained in less then 3 days with her own doggie door outside made training a piece of cake.  When it is storming however the cat lets her use the litter box and she has taught kitten to potty outside also so they only use the litter box when we are gone and the door is shut or during a storm.   NICE!!!!

Now Bindy Sue is almost 14" tall to the Withers and about 10 lbs.

In December Bindy Sue went to South Padre Island with us she travelled amazingly well and loved the beach life for a little over a week.  Bindy and her kitten sister are inseparable.  Kitten AKA Scaredy Kat was a feral kitten that moved in under our lawn shed when she was just a tiny thing (late summer 2008).  Bindy Sue has socialized Scaredy and now because of Bindy we have a touchable loving kitten.  Bindy spends her late afternoon & evenings with me while I work...under my desk with never a peep out of her in the office.  I work from home doing customer service on the phones and internet so can't have a barking dog and she never has (in the office).  Mornings and early afternoons are usually spent outside playing hard with her kitten sister.

We love her!!!!
